Holy Trinity Wall Hanging

Working with gifted and talented children from Holy Trinity School in Lower Darwe, artist Sue Walpole creared artwork to hang in the stairwell of the lower school. The project gave the children the opportunity to learn some new skills outside their usual classroom experience.

The artwork was made from re-cycled perspex combined with re-cycled carrier bags and the children also worked with withes to make the large bee.

The artwork explore the schools 'Be Statements - be happy, yourself, safe, responsible, careful, helpful, hopeful etc. The artwork was linked to the theme of bees - hexagonal sections to represent honeycomb and also a huge bee was made to hang in the stairwell.
