Museum of the Future

Museum of the Future was a project that engaged nearly 1,000 participants in the creation of an organic exhibition of work that ran over a four month period from July to October 2007.

Community groups engaged in exciting workshops focusing on collections from Oldham Museums' fantastic archive collection. The groups identified what interested them in the archive and the workshops gave them a forum to express their thoughts and interpretation of the collections.

The final exhibition comprised of 8 art-works, the final piece, being a collective work developed by nearly 500 school children.
