PACT - Parents Action for the Community and Town are a self help group based at the Old Cheethams Arms in Lawrence Street, Blackburn. In March last year the Funky Art Club was set up to provide creative opportunities in a supportive environment for young people. The Funky Art Club meet every week with over thirty young people involved in a range of projects, from arts and health to visual work to enhance the old pub yard. Funding permitting, future projects include an animation - \'The Crab in the Hole\', an animated guide to the ideal home from their perspective, a community garden and street festival.
