Action Factory worked with Groundwork Manchester, Salford and Trafford to improve a local walk way through Rivers Estate, Trafford. Many local people use the path as a short cut to the local school and shops. Set around the theme of rivers, artists Penny Butterworth and Chris Johnstone worked with pupils from Old Trafford Community School, Activityzone After School Club and an open community workshop. Participants created ceramic fish which were set directly in to the central river design and models of river bank animals. These models were then used to inform the design of three medium size ferro cement sculptures.
