That's Life Mural

The Deputy Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen officially opens the mural on 17th September 2010

Over 250 Local people have been involved in the design and creation of this 32 panel mural measuring nearly 130 feet. The mural is mounted onto a wall underneath the Sports Court looking over Bangor Street Community Centre (from where you can get a great view).

The mural is a celebration of life with cameos and scenes reminiscent of people's life and some from their imaginations. The piece is bursting with colour and vibrancy and is a focal point in the Bangor Street area.

There was a celebration party to officially open the mural on Norwich Street in Blackburn and the picture shows the deputy mayor cutting the ribbon.

This project was made possible by funding from European Regional Development Fund, "Deal or No Deal" Youth Opportunities Fund and the Harris Charity. Action Factory would also like to thank leader artist, Jackie Kearney and assistant artist, Sue Walpole for their hard work.
